eOftalmo, the Brazilian digital journal of ophthalmology, is in its fifth year of uninterrupted publishing. This is an achievement among Brazilian scientific publications.

The participation of colleagues who submitted articles to be published and the help of reviewers and editors has helped us in improving our journal's quality, and we are heading toward being indexed. We are presently expanding the number of scientific editors and reviewers, which will make publishing the contributions submitted by you easier and faster.

Thus, I want to thank all those who are increasingly involved with eOftalmo, and I am certain that we are building a beautiful future for this journal in the field of ophthalmology in Brazil.
