With this issue, we begin the third year of publication of e-Oftalmo.CBO, the first digital ophthalmology magazine in the country. Like everything else in life, the beginning was not easy; however, thanks to our colleagues’ help, we were able to maintain the periodicity and are moving toward indexation. Today, I am pleased to say that we have enough articles to issue. Despite this, we continue to encourage all Brazilian ophthalmologists to cooperate with us so that CBO affiliates can use the magazine to publish their consensuses and guidelines and so that everyone who wants to present their specialized opinions, updated articles, surgery videos, and presentation of clinical cases can send us their contributions.

As we begin the third year of activity, I would like to thank all the colleagues who have been cooperating, whether by sending articles for our online issue or by supporting us in a variety of ways. It is only with everyone’s efforts that we can ensure the continuity of our magazine. I would also like to express my gratitude to associate editors Dr. Milton Ruiz Alves and Dr. Keila Monteiro de Carvalho. Your contributions to e-oftalmo.CBO are invaluable. It is also important to extend this appreciation to everyone at CBO who participated in all the stages of the magazine’s online issue. A united team is what helps us achieve our goals.

Finally, I want to thank the President of the Brazilian Ophthalmology Council, Dr. Homero Gusmão de Almeida, and the Vice President, José Augusto Ottaiano, who have supported and encouraged the magazine. The strategic vision of the CBO’s role in Brazilian ophthalmology, thinking about the future of the institution, and the importance of Brazilian ophthalmologists for healthcare in the country have been crucial for us all.
